Squirrely Poem

>> Skippy was a squirrel with a snappy bushy tail.

>> He always gathered nuts by bury, and that without fail.

>> Til finally it got to him, "Yes, O my!"

>> All I do is gather nuts 'til summer passes by."

>> Maybe I should change muy life from the same old way's been."

>> So little Skippy tried it out, "One summer's not a sin!"

>>

>> But as the summer faded and the place began to chill,

>> The trees had shed their leaves, and

>> much ice was on the hill.

>> His tummy now was empty, and his movement was r e a l s l o w --

>> To him life had now taken and awfully mighty blow.

>>

>> And then he thought if ever I could

>> get thru this winter's chill

>> I'll gathernuts again to hide for winter's fill.

>> I'll be prepared with summers's nuts to feed on all year long.

>> And, boy. will I be happy,

>> My heart will fill with song" (next page)

And then he thought if ever I could get thru this winter's chill I'll gather nuts again to hide for winter's fill. I'll be prepared with summer's nuts to feed on all year long. And , boy , will I be happy! My heart will fill with song. Dear Christian , do you daily memorize God's Word so true? A verse a day hidden deep within could one day pull you thru. He can whisper to you sweetly that verse you hid so deep. His peace can come upon you, and great joy you'll truly reap. Annie Baxter
